Dear friends,
As January unfolds, I’ve been reflecting on my word for the year—intentional. It’s both an anchor and an invitation.
The start of a new year often brings a rush of expectations. But what if, instead of chasing dramatic changes, we simply took small, purposeful steps forward? What if we gave ourselves permission to begin, quietly and intentionally?
January feels like the perfect time to embrace this. It’s not about perfection or getting everything right—it’s about showing up, even if just a little.
I’ve decided to reflect on intentionality throughout these letters. Each month, I’ll share how this word shows up in my life and invite you to do the same.
For me, it’s already showing up in small ways—
Carving out quiet moments in the morning to reflect and focus before starting my work.
Saying “no” to what drains my energy, and “yes” to what nourishes my mind, body, and soul.
Taking a slower, more mindful approach to the bigger picture.
These small shifts are helping me stay grounded and purposeful in everything I do. I hope it serves as a gentle reminder that change doesn’t always have to be big.
This month, I’m sharing another acrostic poem with you. It feels fitting for January, a time to plant seeds of possibility. Acrostics remind us that transformation unfolds step by step, layering intention into every word.

Just breathe—it’s okay to feel uncertain.
Allow yourself to slow down and listen.
New beginnings are built on intentional choices.
Understanding that even small steps matter.
Approach the year with purpose, not pressure.
Remember that growth is gradual, not rushed.
You are already doing enough—simply begin.
What’s one gentle, intentional step you can take this month? It doesn’t have to be big. Maybe it’s five minutes of quiet in the morning or jotting down a thought before bed. Small, sustainable steps lead to lasting change.
As previously mentioned, Guided Whispers will be a regular part of our time together, most likely monthly, but not on a fixed schedule. I’ll share these reflections when the call feels strong, with a focus on special moments like the solstices and equinoxes.
Thank you for being here, for embracing new beginnings, and for letting me share this space with you.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear how intentionality is showing up in your life this month. Feel free to share in the comments, if you’d like. Let’s create a space of support and inspiration as we take small, intentional steps together.
With gratitude,
Dana xo
