Welcome to Guided Whispers
I wanted to share my word for the year with you: Intentional. It’s simple, but it’s also kind of powerful for me right now. The idea of living more intentionally is a reminder to slow down and really think about my choices, especially when life feels like it's moving too fast.
We all know what it’s like to feel pulled in different directions, to rush through the day and forget what truly matters. I think that’s why I’m feeling called to be more intentional — to pause, to take a breath, and to make sure I’m doing things that are aligned with what’s important to me, even when the world feels chaotic.
Living intentionally doesn’t mean I have to get everything perfect. It’s not about being rigid or controlling every moment. It’s about giving myself permission to be present — to notice what I need, to trust my journey, and to move with purpose. It’s about having the space to listen to my own inner wisdom and not always being on autopilot.
I wrote this little acrostic poem as a reminder to myself (and to you, if it resonates) about what it can look like to live with intention:
I N T E N T I O N A L
In quiet moments, we pause to breathe.
Noticing what matters, without rushing.
Trusting the path, even when unclear.
Embracing each step, no matter how small.
Never perfect, just real.
Taking our time, without guilt.
Inside, we find our strength.
Open to growth, always.
Nurturing ourselves first.
Aligning our choices with purpose.
Living with intention, every day.
Living with intention doesn’t mean everything has to change overnight. It’s more about making small, mindful decisions that support who you are and where you’re going. It’s about slowing down, checking in with yourself, and asking, “What’s really important right now?” and “What do I need to feel more aligned with myself?”
This year, I’m taking it one day at a time. I’m going to be sending out these Guided Whispers every now and then, when the call feels strong — little reminders or reflections that might just be what you need in that moment. They won’t come regularly, but when they do, I hope they feel like a soft nudge or a warm hug, just when you need it most.
If this idea of living more intentionally speaks to you, I invite you to think about what that looks like for you. Maybe it’s a word of your own for the year, or maybe it’s something as simple as pausing more often.
Whatever it is, let’s walk into this year with more kindness for ourselves, more trust in the process, and more clarity in our choices.
With Gratitude,
Dana xo.
Always more kindness for ourselves. Love the idea of guided whispers. Great word of the year too 😊
Hi Dana! I love the word "intentional" for the year. The poem about it was beautiful. I also appreciate that you acknowledge how it's about making those small, mindful decisions. The ones we often don't notice otherwise. They're usually the actions that make the biggest shifts long-term. I wish you an intentional year 🙏💚
