Settling into Stillness
Week 46, 2025 — Tuning into the month, the Beaver Moon, and your natural rhythms

𝒩𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓂𝒷𝑒𝓇 𝓌𝒽𝒾𝓈𝓅𝑒𝓇𝓈…
Slow down.
Notice what is here.
You are allowed
to be exactly as you are.
Do you feel that November in itself feels like a pause? I know I do.
We’re moving toward the end of 2025 now, and I always feel the air at this time of year invites a different kind of breathing, even if it feels unfamiliar.
Since the clocks went back last month in the UK:
Evenings stretch longer.
Mornings feel softer and quieter.
And this subtle shift encourages noticing, not forcing.
There’s a stillness in the air
that invites us
to slow down.
As you read this, I invite you to feel into your body:
Maybe there’s tension, heaviness, or restlessness.
Maybe warmth, relief, or softness you hadn’t noticed before.
Whatever is present is okay.
This moment isn’t about fixing anything.
It’s about arriving with yourself as you are.
If you’ve been following my guided monthly whispers for a while then you’ll know how I keep returning to my word for the year — intention.
It’s not about doing more or performing better.
It’s about noticing:
How your body moves.
How emotions rise and fall.
And how thoughts wander.
November mirrors this noticing with the Beaver Moon:
Shortened days, soft and diffused.
Frequent mist and drizzle, creating a hushed atmosphere.
Longer nights that invite rest and introspection.
Well… at my end of the world, anyway.
All of it reflects the natural ebb and flow inside us.
November isn’t just about endings.
It’s about recognition:
Where you’ve been.
How you’ve coped.
How you’ve survived.
How you’ve protected yourself.
There’s space to sit with whatever arises — even the messy, heavy, or confusing parts.
You don’t have to fix or understand them fully.
You just… notice.
There’s space to sit
with the emotions that rise
without needing to change them.
Monthly Acrostic:
Notice what’s here, exactly as it is.
Open to your feelings without needing to change them.
Vulnerability is strength.
Every small breath matters.
Moonlight reminds us of natural cycles.
Breathe, rest, and arrive in your body.
Each moment is enough.
Remember: you are allowed to be here, as you are.
Give yourself a gentle space to pause and witness.
The moon reminds us of cycles too:
Some days are bright and energetic.
Others are quiet and reflective.
November encourages noticing both:
What’s fading.
What’s gathering.
What’s present.
There’s a nervous system wisdom in this rhythm:
Allow your body and mind to move at their own pace, without judgement.
As you pause here, I invite you to reflect gently:
What is asking for your attention this month?
What can you notice without needing to change it?
There’s no pressure.
There’s no right answer.
Simply noticing is enough.
Imagine the soft light
of a short November day
filtering through mist,
or the moon rising quietly
over the horizon.
Feel yourself settling into stillness,
exactly as you are.
If you feel the pull of the season, lean into intention:
Not as doing.
Not as fixing.
But as gentle noticing.
This month, I invite you to notice:
Yourself.
The month.
The subtle rhythms around you.
This noticing is itself an act of care and presence.
Until next time,
Take care.

I think November does call us to slow down and be reflective. I find after the deep feelings of sadness with remembrance, the anxiety and noise of fireworks there comes a softness, a peace before December. I find it balances what came before. Thank you for such needed reflections Dana 🌱
What a beautiful start to the week. I've just done my yoga practice outside on the grass; the light was soft and it was quiet all around. I've now had a shower and breakfast and it's raining hard and dark outside! I'd planned to go for a walk, but will wait a little and see if the rain eases. Adaptability and acceptance are necessary on days like this. Have a good week Dana 💚
