The Grounding Guide: 2024 Post Script
⏸️ Wrapping up the year that was
Hey there,
I’m just popping into your inbox with a little end-of-year reflection. When I first started rebuilding my business behind the scenes and adding in my weekly newsletter, I wasn’t sure how it would go. Would I have enough to say? Would anyone read it? Would it feel like too much on top of everything else?
Looking back, it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my year. But it’s also taught me a lot—not just about writing, but about myself.
This year challenged me to live out the things I share with others: listening to my body, respecting my limits, and finding moments of calm even in difficult times. There were months when I was unwell and had to slow right down. In those moments, I discovered peace in the smallest things:
🌞 Sunlight warming my face
💨 The gentle rhythm of my breath
🐦 Birds singing outside
🛑 Embracing stillness
These small moments reminded me why I’m so passionate about this work. They became lessons in what it means to honour our nervous systems and find resilience in everyday life.
Top 10 Lessons from Showing Up Weekly Since June 2024
1️⃣ Consistency doesn’t mean perfection.
Some weeks felt easy, others didn’t. Showing up imperfectly is still valuable.
2️⃣ Being real matters.
Sharing honest reflections and practical resources has made more of an impact than writing polished articles
3️⃣ Boundaries are key.
Writing when it felt right—and stepping back when it didn’t—helped me keep going.
4️⃣ Your audience will find you.
People will subscribe and unsubscribe—and that’s okay. Building community takes time.
5️⃣ Small steps add up.
One email at a time, I found a rhythm that worked around my life.
6️⃣ Reflection is healing.
Writing each week helped me pause and process life’s moments.
7️⃣ Learning as you go is okay.
I didn’t have all the answers when I started. I still don’t—and that’s fine.
8️⃣ Connection is everything.
Every reply or comment reminded me why I do this work.
9️⃣ Rest is essential.
Taking breaks when needed helped me return with more clarity.
🔟 Done is better than perfect.
Even when I doubted myself, hitting “send” always felt worth it.

Heading into 2025, I’m excited to expand access to the 4-Step M.E.S.H Method, share reflections with you, and create more tools to support resilience and nervous system regulation.
I’ll be back this Sunday, 5th January, with my first newsletter of 2025. Sunday postings will be the norm—life permitting, of course.
Here’s to a happy and healthy 2025 for us all! 🎉
