Thankyou for this post Dana. I've been thinking about this a lot lately, how my younger self really wouldn't believe where I am in life now, content with exactly who I've always been, not trying to be someone else who seemed to have it all.

You're welcome, Hayley. How beautiful that you're at a point where you're content with who you are; it's such a powerful place to be ✨ My younger self wouldn't believe it either! I truly appreciate you sharing this—it’s a reminder of how far we've come and the strength we have within us 💪💖

It's so freeing to let the darkness go.

It sometimes creeps in as a reminder, but the resilience we build over time helps with that. Truly grateful for your writings 🙏❤️☺️

Thank you for the reminder! ❤️ On some days you just need to hear this. Like you said: 'It creeps in for all of us, no matter how far we’ve come. Even when we think we’ve mastered it, it has a way of showing up again'.

I especially loved your words about 'Your nervous system thrives on safety, not speed.' and 'Healing isn’t linear. There’s no set path, no perfect timeline, and no “right” way.' It absolutely matches my experiences! However, I tend to forget when I am struggling again. So, thank you, Dana, great reminder! I'll put the 'safety, not speed' sentence on my pinboard. 😊

That means so much—thank you! ❤️ It’s so easy to forget when we’re in the thick of it, but that’s why reminders matter. I love that you’re putting "safety, not speed" on your pinboard—it’s such a powerful anchor when things feel overwhelming. Every time we come back to safety, we’re reinforcing something really important. Sending you warmth and steadiness on your path 💛
